Monday and Tuesday were day five and six of Mercedes Benz fashion week. Dennis Basso's show was great. It was all about beautiful fur.
There was white fur, black fur, gray fur, green fur, electric blue fur, purple fur, and burgundy fur. It was so pretty that it would make a person that didn't love fur change their mind.
Underneath all of the fur were lots of sparkle. Whether it was sequins, shiny fabric, or streaks of gold, it was all gorgeous.
Milly by Michelle Smith also had lots of great touches of fur. She had ready-to-wear pieces with a twist. Like fur sweaters and fringe pink see through skirts.
My favorite parts of the collection were the gold sequin skirt and pants. I also loved the black layered ruffled dress, quilted sweater, and black fringe jumpsuit.
The students from the world famous Art Institute in New York put on a fabulous fashion show to close out day six. I'm not a big fan of yellow, but I loved the pops of yellow throughout the show.
It was great to see the different visions by the students manifest in various fabrics, styles, and colors. I really liked the hooded fuchsia coat over the blue outfit.
The common thread was that all of the models wore long beautiful wavy and frizzy hair. At the end of the show, the student designers walked the runway with their lovely models in their final looks.
