Brandy on Broadway!

Singer and actress Brandy Norwood can now add leading lady in the longest running musical on Broadway to her resume. Beginning April 28 - June 21 she will play Roxie Hart in Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre in New York. Brandy has been on several hit TV shows and movies such as The Game, Moesha and Cinderella. She also has nine albums under her belt that have led to a Grammy, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.

Chicago is the story of two rival females in Cook County Jail in the roaring twenties. Brandy's character Roxie is a nightclub entertainer who is arrested for killing her cheating husband. The show is full of lots of singing and dancing, so Brandy will be a wonderful addition to the cast.

You may remember when Catherine Zeta-Jones starred in the movie Chicago in 2002. But did you know that it was also a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse based off the play from the seventies?
